Merging of categories

Due to few entries some categories had to be cancelled and merged. The category D 70- will be merged with D 65-, the category H 70- will be merged with H 65-. The categories H 19 L, H 19 K and H 40- will be combined to the new category H Long, the categories D 19 L, D -18, D -16, D 40- and Open Long will be combined to the new category D Long. The categories H -12 and Open Short will be merged into H/D Short.

Finally the following 13 categories will be offered: D Long, D 45-, D 50-, D 55-, D 60-, D 65-, H Long, H 45-, H 50-, H 55-, H 60-, H 65-, H/D Short;

Registration for Individual Package closed - now it's time for single stage entries!

On 15th May 2012 the extended registration deadline has expired. So registration for the complete tour isn not possible any more. But now all interested runners can register for certain stages of the Bavarian O Tour. The special, new entry form has been published. Deadline for that "Package C" will be 1st June 2012, that final deadline will not be extended.

Information about single entries for certain stages

On the packages page (right column, down) you can find further information about single entries for certain stages. Single stage entries will be possible from 16th May until 1st June 2012 with a special registration form. The price will be € 13 per stage for adults and € 8 for teenagers.

Registration deadline for Individual Package extended until 15th May

During the last days the number of entries reached 100. Currently we have 104 entries from 12 countries. As there are still low numbers of entries we will extend the registration deadline for Individual Package until 15th May 2012.

It is also sure that there will be the possibility to enter for certain single stages after the deadline above has expired. We will publish the special entry form for these entries in time.

Registration deadline for Individual Package is coming closer!

Only few days until the official registration deadline for Individual Package of Bavarian Orienteering Tour 2012. Make your decision now if you want to enjoy a fantastic orienteering week in beautiful Bavaria!

The decision about the possibility to register only for certain stages will be made within the next days. The decision will be announced on this homepage likely on 6th May.

Deadline for Inclusive Package!

On 1st March the last entry deadline for Inclusive Package has expired. 36 entries for the package including accommodation and transfer have reached us. That is less than we expected, but nevertheless we will offer good service to our guests. We are glad that we got many entries for Inclusive Package especially from Australia and Brazil.

At the moment we already have 41 entries for Individual Package as well. However that amout is better than expected at this time. Until 1st May there is still the chance to register for Bavarian Orienteering Tour. Of course from now, accommodation and transfer have to be organized independently.

Second entry deadline is over: 68 persons entered for Bavarian O Tour

After the second entry deadline 15th February we have 68 entries overall, 30 for Inclusive Package and 38 for Individual Package. 60 active runners from 10 countries are registered so far. In another two weeks, on 1st March, the final deadline for Inclusive Package will expire. This will be the last chance to get the benefit of a fully organized attractive travel and accommodation package, as there will be no possibility to extend the final deadline.

The first entry deadline has expired: 64 entries so far

1st February was the final date for the first entry deadline for Inclusive Package. 64 entries from 10 countries have reached us so far, 27 of them for Inclusive Package and 37 for Individual Package. The next entry deadline will expire on 15th February 2012.

First and second entry deadline for Inclusive Package extended!

Due to very few entries for the Inclusive Package the first, cheapest entry deadline will be extended from 31st December 2011 to 1st February 2012. The second entry deadline will be extended as well and moved from 1st February 2012 now to 15th February 2012. So join now!

Bavarian O Tour presented on www.orientierungslauf.de

On the german Orienteering homepage "www.orientierungslauf.de" you can read an article about the Bavarian Orienteering Tour (only in German!). The aim is to present the event to the German orienteering community once more.

Important note concerning the fees for the individual package

As several entered runners for the individual package haven't included the organization fee (10 Euro) in the money transfer we want to inform you that this organization fee has to be paid for each runner booking the individual package in addition to the starting fee. It has to be included in the payment as well. For the inclusive package there is no extra organization fee.

First entries!

We have received the first entries for Bavarian Orienteering Tour 2012. They come from Germany and Australia. In the Registration section you can find an list of all entries which will be updated regularly.

We have published Bulletin 2 (PDF, 2 MB) of the Bavarian Orienteering Tour 2012 in the bulletin section. Here you can find all information about the packages, prices and program from our web site together in one document.

Launch of registration!

From now on registration for the Bavarian Orienteering Tour 2012 is possible! The entry form can be downloaded in Excel format and in PDF format as well. The offered categories have been published and also the rules for merging classes with few entries. You can also find an entry list which will be updated regularly.

Bavarian orienteers from different clubs have begun to spread Bulletin 1 of Bavarian O Tour 2012 at international orienteering events all over Europe.

The homepage of the Bavarian Orienteering Tour and Bulletin 1 for the event is online! Inform yourself and join the Bavarian O-Tour 2012! Experience Bavaria from its cultural and sportive side, before you proceed to WMOC 2012 in Bad Harzburg! Further information will follow soon!

Tour programme and locations are fixed

In a first meeting, the representatives of the clubs and the bavarian orienteering committee make the decision to definitely organize the tour. It will start in Munich and go north, next locations will be Landshut, Regensburg and Bamberg, before the tour will end in Coburg. The tour contains six stages and one prologue, the participants will be able to visit five attractive bavarian towns with lots of attractive cultural sights.

An idea is born

Several Bavarian orienteering clubs form the idea to organize a pre-event for the World Masters Orienteering Championships 2012 in Bad Harzburg. They plan to organize an orienteering tour through Bavaria, containing several interesting orienteering events and cultural highlights.
